Truths last horizon3/6/2023 ![]() ![]() This statement is certainly the most important of the revelations made so far for Horizon Worlds, the one that makes us understand why the title is as ugly as it is empty: no one believes it! This translates into employees of Horizon Worlds not an intrinsic will, which holds you close to your body, but simply the idea of working for… working. When your manager forces you to “force” worship his project, it’s never a good sign. Organize moments to do it with your colleagues or friends, in the internal builds but also in the public build in order to be able to interact with the community. In a second memo sent two weeks later, also leaked to The Verge, Shah said he plans to require managers to have their teams use Horizon Worlds at least once a week:Įveryone in this organization should make it their mission to fall in love with Horizon Worlds. Why that ? Why don’t we like the product we built? The truth is quite simple: if we don’t like it, how can we expect our users to like it? Simply put, for an experience to become awesome and addictive, it must first be playable and well-designed.įor many of us, we don’t spend a lot of time in Horizon and our dashboards show that pretty clearly. But currently, feedback from our creators, users, playtesters, and many of us on the team is all about stability issues and bugs, making it difficult for our community to experience the magic of Horizon. Since launching late last year, we’ve found that the core pitch of Horizon Worlds – a synchronous social network where creators can build engaging worlds – is strong. I want a quality lockdown for the rest of the year to make sure we fix our quality shortcomings and performance issues before opening Horizon to more users.
